Galleries allows you to create groups of images (i.e. a gallery) which can then be displayed on the site using any manner of fancy css and javascript.

This extension isn’t about building the frontend gallery, instead it focusses on giving you an interface to create a gallery, add items (which are just paperclipped assets of image type) and reorder those items.

As of 03/22/2010 this extension is working, doesn’t have any specs and is definitely up for being hounded on its usefulness and usability.
